The Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid Course

Has been designed to meet the requirements laid down by MLTB, ML, IML, BCU, BASI, D of E, BMC,  Mountain Biking and other National Governing Body Award requirements and covers primary and secondary care in the outdoor world where the emergency services may be harder to access.

The Outdoor Pursuits Mountain First Aid 3 Days

This course covers all the content of the O P 16 Hour First Aid Course and has additional time to deal with the types of injuries and problems typical of the mountain environment such as hypothermia, frostbite, casualty handling and moving, and the procedures for dealing with accidents in remote places.

This first aid course is only distinguished from the Standard First Aid at Work in the Outdoor Environment course by the lack of a formal HSE examination. It is appropriate for the Mountaineering Instructor Scheme (MIA, MIC, MLW, ML, CWA, SPA, WGL, SMBLA and BO courses etc), the Association of British Mountain Guides and those operating in remote areas. Includes AED (Automatic External Defibrillator training.)

This course is certified as Emergency First Aid at Work.

First Aid at Work 3-day Course

(This course comes with 18.0 hours of CPD time, a downloadable First aid Manual and for the first 8 months you will receive a weekly emailed video clip on first aid topics)

First Aid at Work Level 3 qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace. All courses are delivered; evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981. This course must be at least 18 contact hours and run over a minimum of 3 days and the certificate is valid for 3 years.

Candidates completing our FAW courses receive access to our video library for refreshing skills and reference.

EFAW + F for Forestry

(This course comes with 7.0 hours of CPD time, a downloadable First aid Manual and for the first 8 months you will receive a weekly emailed video clip on first aid topics) Emergency First Aid at Work course (EFAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that there is no requirement for a fully trained first aider for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981. This version of the EFAW course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease. This course must be at least 7 contact hours and run over a minimum of 1 day and the certificate is valid for 3 years.

To renew you need to attend another EFAW-F 7 hour course. Candidates completing our EFAW-F courses receive access to our video library for refreshing skills and reference.
